Two points about the recent Twitter hack seem hard to believe:

That an engineer at Twitter, very well paid, was able to be bribed for a relatively small sum; and

The attacker was willing to use this exploit, and therefore lose it, for about $117,000 in bitcoin.
The real story will probably never be public, but the situation screams “nation-state actor”. Fortunately or not, most of us don’t have a high-enough profile, as individuals or as companies, to be the target of such attacks.
